Last Friday 15th we closed the III International Conference “Presente y futuro de la regulación de los criptoactivos en la Unión Europea”, the third conference organised by the BAES research group and the first in the framework of the LegalCripto project.

This event, with more than 30 speakers and 200 registered attendees, brought together leading academics, professionals and experts from various fields to comprehensively explore the challenges and opportunities in the fascinating and evolving cryptoasset landscape in the European Union. The outstanding quality and expertise of the speakers, who shared innovative perspectives and offered an up-to-date view of the complex regulatory dynamics, was crucial to the success of the event.

Over the course of three days, panels and roundtables provided the framework for an enriching multidisciplinary debate. The speakers, with their deep knowledge and strategic vision, delivered keynote presentations, contributing to the cryptoasset dialogue and exploring the intersections between blockchain technology, the global economy and financial regulation. This event cements BAES’ position as a research group of excellence at the forefront of the global cryptoasset regulation debate.

The Congress has had great media repercussion; media such as El Periòdic, el Español, Información.es, MSN or Actualidad Universitaria have covered it.

We extend our thanks to speakers, moderators, attendees, organisers and university staff for sharing with us this event and making it possible. Special thanks to the University of Alicante for hosting this event, represented at the opening by Mr. Rafael Molina Carmona, Vice Rector of Digital Transformation at the University of Alicante and at the closing by Mr. Juan Mora Pastor, Vice Rector of Research at the University of Alicante; and to the entities that participated in the event, such as the CNMV, represented by Mr. Francisco José Del Olmo Fons, the Bank of Spain, represented by Mr. José García Alcorta, and the CCN, represented by Mr. Pablo López.
